Where to Meet

In the old days, it was only proper for a gentleman to pick a lady up at her place before a date. Suggesting any other rendezvous would be insulting. She would never dream of getting herself anywhere on her own.

In the New Millennium: You can meet anywhere for your date, if it seems comfortable and appropriate. Of course, the traditional scenario can seem right: He can come to her house to pick her up, and they can go from there. But he might meet her at work if she has to stay late. or they can both meet at some convenient place, if time is short and distance is a problem. She can even come to his place in these more modern times.

She no longer needs to be insulted if he doesn't pick her up at home, but if she insists or is more comfortable with that (and also for safety concerns), he might want to accommodate her.
