After the Big Date

Okay, you cleared the first big hurdle. The first date is over. You can breathe easier now. So how did it go? Do you think you've met the person of your dreams, or someone you'd rather just keep as a friend, or, worse, a dud or a jerk you never want to see again? No matter how a date goes, I'm a big believer in grace after dates. That is, after the date, always call and thank the person for going, whether it worked or not. Emily received a call from her blind date who said, "I had a a nice time with you, but I don't think it's going to work out between us." As much as it hurt her to hear this, Emily knew herself that it wasn't going anywhere, and she appreciated the acknowledgement and the closure his phone call gave her.
